Lyndon Irving (Derby School 1923 - 28)
Lyndon Irving was a Past President of the Society holding the office from 1986 to 1988. He was a prominent lawyer, politician and writer in the city, or town as it was then.His wife, Stella, taught French at Derby School for some years in the late 1950s.
The funeral was held on Friday 9th January 2009.
Geoffrey Bates (Derby School 1946 - 51)
Geoff is probably best known in the city for being in charge of the Pride Park Development. He had a background in property and during his earlier career he worked at Edward Wood & Sons Limited, a sizeable building firm in the city.Although he was on the Governing Body of Trent College he had an interest in the development of the new Grammar School.
His funeral was at Allestree on 16th January 2009.
